Basic Directions
St. John Chrysostom Church is about 3.6 miles north of Route 128/Route 95,
Exit 15A (Dedham), in the West Roxbury neighborhood of Boston.

From the south
From Route 128/Route 95, take Providence Highway (old Route 1) north for just over a mile. After the traffic light at Eastern Avenue, look on the right for the sign directing you to Washington Street, Roslindale and Forest Hills. Bear right on Washington Street and proceed for 2.1 miles. You will find St. John Chrysostom Church on the right just after the traffic light at LaGrange Street.

From downtown Boston and the north:
Take Storrow Drive west to the left-lane exit marked "Kenmore Square/Fenway 1 South", keeping hard to the left as you exit. Bear right at the next light for Boylston Street. Follow Boylston Street approximately one-half mile to Park Drive. Take a right, then bear left immediately for the Riverway.

Follow the Riverway as it becomes the Jamaicaway and later the Arborway (Route 203 east). At the next rotary, take your first right onto Centre Street. Passing the Faulkner Hospital on your right, stay on Centre Street and be sure not to bear right onto VFW Parkway. Follow Centre Street to the rotary at West Roxbury Parkway. Enter the rotary and take the third exit, heading east on West Roxbury Parkway. Proceed approximately 1 mile to Washington Street. Take a right and proceed to the intersection at LaGrange Street. Take a left at the traffic light, then another left into St. John's parking lot.

From Dorchester:
Take Route 203 west to the exit for Forest Hills and Washington Street. Follow signs for Washington Street, Roslindale. Proceed on Washington Street just over 2 miles through Roslindale Square to the intersection at LaGrange Street. Take a left at the traffic light, then another left into St. John's parking lot.

From Newton:
Take Route 9 east. After "The Atrium" mall, take the next exit, marked "West Roxbury/Hyde Park." Proceed on Hammond Pond Parkway to the West Roxbury Parkway. Proceed approximately 3 miles to Washington Street. Take a right and proceed to the intersection at LaGrange Street. Take a left at the traffic light, then another left into St. John's parking lot.

By public transportation St John's is accessible by public transportation. Several of the MBTA bus lines have stops directly in front of the church. Take the orange line to Forest Hills and then transfer to one of the buses that goes down Washington St, for example, the 34.
